Modern chettinad house

The roofs are traditionally cladded with Mangalore tiles. The elegance of the house is achieved through its form, material, and color palette.The terracotta jallis is used as a screen wrapping around volumes filtering light and lending privacy, the jalli and the white painted walls become animated surfaces as a result of the play of light filtering them reflecting the shadows of the surroundings.
